I knew that I was overdressing for the event, and I warned my classmates of that. Regardless, I was a bit nervous about wearing so much frillery to what was essentially a blue jeans kind of function.<\/p>\n<p>But my fears were put to rest when I passed a 12 year old girl on the sidewalk after parking the car. She saw me, her eyes opened wide, and she said, &#8216;I know I don&#8217;t know you, but I love your dress!&#8217; As long as I have the unsolicited pre-teen (or even the pre-pre-teen) vote I&#8217;m happy! So I walked into my reunion with my head held high, and received several compliments. Yay!<\/p>\n<p>So without further ado, here are the formal pics of what I felt was my grown-up prom. I&#8217;ve included a couple of photos of the original dress as a &#8216;before&#8217; comparison.
