On this fine morn of the anniversary of the birth of the national bard of Scotland, I perused the Robert Burns<\/a> website for a nice quote to put on my Facebook wall. Lo and behold I came across this fine poem written in 1792 that I would like to share with you, constant reader. Enjoy it to your liking, and raise a cup of kindness to Mr. Burns today!<\/div>\n

O Leeze me on my spinnin’ wheel,
And leeze me on my\u00a0rock<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and reel;
Frae<\/span><\/a>\u00a0tap<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0tae<\/span><\/a>\u00a0that cleeds me bien,
And haps me\u00a0biel<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and warm at e’en;
I’ll\u00a0set<\/span><\/a>\u00a0me down and sing and spin,
While\u00a0laigh<\/span><\/a>\u00a0descends the\u00a0simmer<\/span><\/a>\u00a0sun,
Blest wi’ content, and milk and meal,

The pairtrick whirring o’er the ley,
The swallow jinkin’ round my shiel,
